We offer both instrumental and Performance based tutoring, both helping to fuel confidence and determination in our students.
All of our programs provide students the opportunity of performances every year, so they are able to share their exceptional progress with their beloved family and loved ones

Our programs are aimed to teach children a wide range of musical genres paired with the key knowledge of music theory. Overall providing them with a well rounded learning experience, teaching them the vast spectrum of sound helping them to develop their own personal taste, but also the challenges and triumphs that come from the challenge of musical theory
-
Learning music has been proven to aid the development of healthy neural pathways by absorbing new information. Music helps to promote left and right brain coordination, listening and comprehension skills and encouraging a greater self belief by moving support from their peers and teachers
Instrumental Music Lessons
We teach Drums, piano, guitar and sining lessons to students at local primary schools. Students are taught a wide range of music styles like Jazz, Pop rock funk and jazz with accompanying musical theory. These musical lessons are a fundamental building block in a Childs education, aimed to build a deeper connection with a child’s inner self, build self confidence as well as boost cognitive development.

Teaching a child to play an instrument can be a powerful way to support both cognitive and motor development. Andrew Budson, Chief of Cognitive and Behavioral Neurology at VHBAF, found that those who study music have a healthier brain health. This is supported by researchers Mandy Stefanakis and Robin Stevens, who discovered that music enhances concentration by activating multiple areas of the brain simultaneously. As a result, children who learn an instrument early in life are more likely to retain information effectively into adulthood. Additionally, music promotes faster learning, stronger motor coordination, and better decision-making skills. Andrew Rumey, a music teacher and performer, also highlights that listening to music can improve speech pronunciation. By hearing how singers elongate and articulate notes, students can mimic these patterns through melody and rhythm, which helps improve verbal clarity and communication.
Emotional Regulation
“If people regularly use music as an emotional regulator in their daily life—
such as to stay calm or provide companionship—they will find it easier to gain further benefits from music when learning something new,””
Why Choose Us?
Music therapy is a powerful tool that supports communication, emotional regulation, social connection, self-confidence, and motor development. Through its creative and engaging approach, music therapy offers individuals of all ages a unique way to enhance well-being and foster personal growth.
Scientific evidence proves music to be one of the most effective teaching tools allowing students to thrive in all aspects of their learning as well as learning a new skill.
We develop our music lessons for our students to be able to have a healthier wellbeing, as well as promoting positive changes in their, emotional and cognitive development. We use the evidence provided to help create our courses to benefit our students:

At 2 Dream Music, we recognise the profound benefits of musical practices in a child’s development, all while making the experience fun and engaging. We design performances, exercises, and games that not only educate but also captivate young learners. Our lessons create a space where children can experience joy while learning to express their emotions through music. Over the years, we've observed that performing music offers students a valuable creative outlet, as well as an emotional one, allowing them to channel their feelings into art. Additionally, by listening to songs with diverse emotional themes, our students gain a deeper understanding of their own emotions, learning how to articulate their feelings and thoughts more clearly.
Social Connection
At 2 Dream Music, we place great emphasis on fostering interaction among students as a key component of our programs. Through our group sessions, students learn the importance of patience as they take turns performing, while also developing kindness and consideration for their peers. By providing each student the chance to perform in front of others, we help them build confidence in expressing themselves to a group. Additionally, these sessions teach the value of collaboration, as students work together to create truly remarkable performances.
Mental health
A child’s mental health is a vital aspect of their overall well-being, which is why we advocate for musical practices as a way to support mental health. Extensive evidence demonstrates that music therapy, along with general engagement in music, is an effective treatment for anxiety and depression—often proving more successful than traditional cognitive-behavioral therapies (CBT).
“Music therapy can make the difference between withdrawal and awareness, between isolation and interaction, between chronic pain and comfort – between demoralisation and dignity”
According to Andrew Budson, Chief of Cognitive and Behavioural Neurology at VHBAF, individuals who regularly listen to music experience lower levels of anxiety and depression, contributing to a greater sense of well-being. By learning patience and dedication through the practice of music, students not only cultivate calmness and motivational thinking but also develop valuable life skills that will benefit them in various aspects of their future.
We exist to allow everyone to have access to music
Tuition in music schools are declining rapidly
As seen above in the evidence above, music can be a life changing addition to a child’s life. However we can see that “the number of schools and students with no instrumental tuition continues to increase” (AARE, 2019).
Musicians financial struggle
The Australian Music Industry has significantly subtracted over the past ten years, and pre COVID-19 was “already facing questions on how it can ensure artists are paid enough money to live on, or how to make careers in music-making or on the business side of the industry more sustainable” (Strong, RMIT 2020)
We intend to bridge the gap!
At 2 Dream Music, we employ talented wonderfully talented musicians who are trained and mentored to deliver a positive, high quality music and wellbeing programs for primary school students. Giving musicians the opportunity to make a living off their talents, and for parents to affordably gift their child with the joy of music
